DESCRIPTION
NoWinED is a MUI-based TextEditor that can handle more files simultaneously,
using different "pages" for each file.
The fact that it is impossible to find
a MUI TextEditor on Amiga powerfull enough to be used instead of
Notepad/Editpad and other editors does not have a reason. Moreover, switching
from one AmigaOS flavour to the other it is not always possible to use the
same editor due to incompatibilities. NoWinED has born to be a portable MUI
program, and in fact it exists for every Amiga flavour (OS3.9, OS4, MorphOS,
AROS). Sadly not all the features are present everywhere due to some minor
incompatibilities.
The name NoWinED comes from an alternative information science magazine that
never saw the light of the day: NOWindowsMagazine. Initially NoWinED was
supposed to enable me to save the articles for this magazine preformatted
for an eventual publication, even if with the development and the death of
NOWindowsMagazine this texteditor lost these features.
NoWinED is my first Amiga program, so do not expect too much :)

NoWinED offers:
- Handling of multiple files through tabs that can be managed via
"titleButtons", a list, and/or an useful context menu which you can open if
you click with right mouse button on right scroll titlebutton (this one
appears when it's necessary);
- Context menus;
- Search and replace module;
- Search into opened file module;
- File Drag & Drop: dragging one or more files on the NoWinED list
the files will be opened in new tabs, draggin a file on a page will open it
on the current page. Finally dragging more files on a tab will open the first
file in the current tab, and the others in new pages (AROS lacks Drag & Drop);
- Basic texteditor features (C&P, select all, Undo, Redo, etc...). "Select all"
does not work on AROS due to the (bugged) version of TextEditor.mcc on this
Amiga flavour;
- Usage from keyboard supported;
- UTF support (you can load UTF files and export UTF with/without BOM or ASCII);
- CR/LF/CR+LF support (you can load any kind of txt file and export text
with LF/CR/CR+LF);
- Backup of all opened files (you can set time between a backup process and
another one);
- AutoSave of current file (you can set time between a autosave process and
another one);
- Graphic printout;
- Programmable Fn keys;
- Exists on all 4 Amiga flavours;

DESCRIZIONE
NoWinED è un TextEditor scritto in MUI capace di gestire più file
contemporaneamente, impiegando per questo delle "pagine" per ciascun file.
Il fatto di non trovare su Amiga un TextEditor MUI abbastanza potente da
essere usato al posto di Notepad/Editpad ed altri editor non ha spiegazione.
Inoltre passando da un AmigaOS ad un altro non sempre è possibile usare gli
stessi programmi editor in quanto potrebbero avere delle incompatibilità.
NoWinED è nato per essere un programma MUI portabile, difatti ne esiste una
versione per ciascuna incarnazione Amiga (OS3.9, OS4, MorphOS ed AROS).
Purtroppo alcune caratteristiche non sono presenti su tutti e quattro i
sistemi, a causa di incompatibilità minime.
Il nome NoWinED deriva da una rivista d'informatica alternativa che non ha mai
visto luce: NOWindowsMagazine. All'inizio NoWinED doveva permettermi di
salvare gli articoli per questa rivista in modo preformattato ad un'eventuale
pubblicazione, sebbene con lo sviluppo ed il naufragamento di
NOWindowsMagazione questo texteditor abbia "perso" tali caratteristiche.
NoWinED è il mio primo programma per Amiga, dunque non aspettatevi molto :)

NoWinED offre:
- Gestione file multipla attraverso pagine controllabili per mezzo di
"bottoniTitolo", una lista e/o un comodo context menu in corrispondenza del
bottone destro (appare automaticamente quando è necessario) per scrollare i
bottoni titolo ;
- Menu contestuali ;
- Modulo di ricerca e rimpiazzo;
- Modulo di ricerca dentro i file aperti;
- Drag & Drop dei file: trascinando uno o più file sulla lista NoWinED apre i
file in nuove pagine, se invece si trascina un file in una pagina allora il
file verrà aperto nella pagina corrente. Infine nel caso in cui si
trascinino più file su una pagina, allora il primo file verrà aperto sulla
pagina corrente e gli altri file in nuove pagine (su AROS manca il
Drag&Drop);
- Funzioni base di un texteditor (c&p, seleziona tutto, undo e redo, ecc...).
La funzione "Seleziona Tutto" non funziona su AROS a causa della
versione (bacata) di TextEditor.mcc in questa incarnazione Amiga;
- Supporto utilizzo da tastiera;
- Supporto UTF-8 (E' in grado di caricare file UTF ed esportare UTF-8
con e senza BOM, oppure in ASCII);
- Supporto CR/LF/CR+LF (E' in grado di caricare qualsiasi tipo di file txt
ed esportare test CR/LF/CR+LF);
- Supporto per backup di tutti i file aperti configurabile;
- Supporto per il salvataggio automatico del file corrente configurabile;
- Tasti funzione (Fn) programmabili;
- Stampa grafica;
- Presente su tutte e 4 le piattaforme Amiga;
